Since May Day is this Sunday, I just wanted to say Happy May Day, Mawrters! Wherever you are, here's to wearing flowers in your hair and eating some strawberries and cream!

To the maypole let us on,
The time is swift and will be gone!
Come then, lasses, to the green,
Where their beauties may be seen.

All fair lasses have lads to attend them,
Jolly brave dancers, who can amend them?
To the Maypole let us on,
The time is swift and will be gone!

What was the bay area May Day like? What did you all do? Some Mawrters and I made flower crowns and ate berries and cream and drank champagne but it wasn't an organized regional thing, just something we did cause we were all hanging out together anyway. The bay area alumnae seem to really have their act together! Unlike us out here, ha ha!

yep, the bay area group is wonderful. us broke ass young'uns don't have to pay for anything, and they have helped me with tons of stuff.

we ate lots of strawberries, no champagne since we were in a public park that doesn't allow alcohol, we danced around a maypole and sang the maypole song. and of course, being mawrters, we talked and talked and talked.

skippy has heard me preach the wonders of the bryn mawr listserv ad nauseum, but I reiterate that it is a wonderful thing- the bay area bmc group is a direct result of it. can be overwhelming, but you delete a lot, and pick up what you want to discuss. or you can lurk. anyway, it's amazing to have access to mawrters who graduated from '53 on up.
